Mathematical modeling in immunology is one of the rapidly developing fields of applied mathematics. The fundamental principles of constructing mathematical models of immune reactions in infectious diseases were laid down in the works of G.I. Marchuk. The report will present modern approaches and models of mathematical immunology that are designed to solve relevant applied problems:
- Investigation of the robustness of protection by the interferon system in coronavirus infection of mice.

Identification of new targets for antiviral therapy for HIV-1.

Prediction of the therapeutic effect of PD-1 receptor blockade in the chronic phase of HIV-1 infection.

Investigation of impact of T-lymphocyte motility in the lymph node on the efficiency of elimination of infected cells in HIV-1 infection.

Geometric modeling of the structural and functional organization of lymph nodes.
The research is based on the use of various classes of differential equations, sensitivity analysis methods, parametric identification algorithms. The emerging areas of future research will also be briefly presented.
