The next seminar
"Actual problems of applied mathematics" will be held on
October 2 at 5 pm (UTC+7).
Seminar heads: I. A. Taimanov, S. I. Kabanikhin, A. E. Mironov, M. A. Shishlenin.
Seminar secretary: N. M. Prokhoshin (
n.prokhoshin@g.nsu.ru)
Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences
A. V. Boyko (Khristianovich Institute of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics SB RAS) will give a talk
"Stability of near-wall flows and laminar-turbulent transition: successes and problems" at the seminar.
The talk will review the results obtained in the study of the onset of turbulence in subsonic near-wall flows. The traditional aspects of the problem will be considered, including the properties of linear, nonlinear stability and the generation of shear flow disturbances. New theoretical approaches to the solution of these problems and the latest experimental data, which refine the concept of laminar-turbulent transition, will be discussed.
In order to participate in the seminar, on October 2 after 4:45 pm (UTC+7) you should connect to the Zoom conference at or manually using the Zoom conference ID 934 7387 9731.
