鈥淧lance theorem and the periodicity of the Jacobians of circulant graphs鈥�.
Plance theorem states that the first homology group of an n-sheeted cyclic covering of a three-dimensional sphere ramified over a given knot is the direct sum of two copies of an abelian group if n is odd. The same result is true for homologies of even-sheeted coverings factorized by the homology group of a 2-sheeted cover. The purpose of this note is to establish similar results for Jacobians (critical groups) of circulant graphs. It will also be established that the Jacobians of circulant graphs on n vertices, reduced over a given finite Abelian group, are periodic functions of n.
