Congratulations to Yuri L. Trakhinin on being awarded the title of "Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences" and Vladimir G. Romanov on being awarded the title of "Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences"!

Yuri Trakhinin is a well-known specialist in differential equations, dynamical systems and mathematical modeling. He obtained a number of results on the local solvability in Sobolev spaces of problems with free boundaries for hyperbolic systems of conservation laws simulating the flow of ideal fluids and plasmas. Since 2022, Yury has been the head of the research team Geometric Aspects of Mathematical Physics at the Mathematical Center.

Vladimir Romanov for many years presided over the defense of graduation theses of students of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics. As part of his work at the Center, Vladimir obtained a number of outstanding results on inverse problems.
