The projects of two employees of the MCA and four students of the NSU Engineering School will receive one million rubles each as part of the Student Startup program

The results of the first stage of the "Student Startup" competition, which the Russian Ministry of Science and Higher Education is holding jointly with the Foundation of Innovation Promotion within the framework of the federal project "Platform of University Technological Entrepreneurship", have been summed up. Out of 2300 applications, 650 winning projects were selected, including 19 start-ups from students of ԹϹ, each of which will receive support in the amount of 1,000,000 rubles.

Students from all regions of the country should have equal opportunities to realize their entrepreneurial potential. Students from over 250 universities, both technical and humanitarian, participated in the first stage of the competition. Moscow, the Republic of Tatarstan, St. Petersburg, the Tomsk and Novosibirsk regions are leading in terms of the number of winners, — said Valery Falkov, head of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia.

Winning projects from NSU are presented in five out of seven competitive categories: "Digital Technologies" (7 startups), "Medicine and Health Protection Technologies" (5 startups), "New Materials and Chemical Technologies" (1 startup), "New Devices and Intelligent production technologies” (4 startups), “Biotechnologies” (2 startups). Each of the student projects solves an important problem: for example, how to control seismic surveys, prevent ADHD in elementary schoolchildren, detect the development of osteoporosis at an early stage, treat wastewater, automate the analysis of wood defects, and much more.

The presence of a regular flow of student startups that are recognized at the federal level is the result of the successful implementation of the research and entrepreneurial potential of our students. This is impossible without a reliable scientific and educational foundation, on the one hand, and infrastructural opportunities in the form of a creative space, interaction with the country's leading technopark, on the other. And, of course, without the flexible thinking, observation and purposefulness with which young people are looking for solutions to the problems that concern them. I congratulate our students and wish them to move from a socially significant idea to products necessary for the technological development of the Novosibirsk Region and the whole country as soon as possible, — commented Mikhail Fedoruk, Rector of ԹϹ, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Physics and Mathematics.
