On October 3, Inessa I. Matveeva successfully defended her dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences in the Sobolev Institute of Mathematics SB RAS in the specialty "Differential Equations, Dynamical Systems and Optimal Control".
The topic of the dissertation is “Stability of solutions of nonlinear differential equations with delayâ€. The theory of differential equations with delay began to develop intensively in the second half of the 20th century. The increased interest in such equations is due to the fact that they arise in many applied problems in the study of processes, the rate of which is determined not only by the present, but also by previous states. Such processes are often referred to as "delayed" or "consequent" processes. Delay equations arise in applications such as control systems, mechanics, nuclear reactors, neural networks, combustion processes, interaction of species, microbiology, learning models, epidemiology, physiology, etc. Methods for studying the stability of solutions are developed in the thesis by I. I. Matveeva non-autonomous nonlinear differential equations with delay. Auxiliary research tools are the methods of ordinary differential equations, the theory of differential equations with delay, the theory of difference equations, the theory of matrix equations.
The team of the Mathematical Center in Akademgorodok sincerely congratulates Inessa Izotovna on this significant event!
