The regional final of the fifth season of the Leaders of Russia management competition has ended in Novosibirsk. Among the winners are three employees of 吃瓜官网: Deputy Director of the NSU Specialized Educational and Scientific Center for Academic Affairs Olga Petrovskaya, Deputy Director of the Mathematical Center in Akademgorodok, Ph.D., Associate Professor of the Department of Discrete Mathematics and Informatics of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics and SSC NSU Sergei Ospichev and junior researcher, senior lecturer and analyst of the Mathematical Center in Akademgorodok Alexey Zakharov.
Almost 14 thousand applications were received from all regions of the Siberian Federal District to participate in the 鈥淟eaders of Russia鈥� competition; 253 of the best managers competed in the district finals.
Competitive tests took place on October 7 and 8. Experts assessed the finalists' competencies as an organizer, team leader, change agent, strategist, reformer and communicator. Based on the results of the work, all participants received personal recommendations for further development.
The winners were 28 finalists, 112 of them were residents of the Novosibirsk region: entrepreneurs, civil servants, managers in the fields of education, banking, manufacturing, healthcare, analytics and research, human resources and strategic management.
The awards ceremony for the winners of the district finals took place at the Novosibirsk Opera and Ballet Theater. They received the right to take part in the anniversary super final in 2024. After this, all finalists, regardless of whether they win the final tests or not, will become owners of an educational grant in the amount of one million rubles and will have the opportunity to work with mentors from among Russia's leading managers.
Olga Petrovskaya:
鈥� This competition is aimed at identifying leadership qualities and providing feedback. I wanted to get an assessment from the outside: how I look as a leader and as a team member, how well I can cope with stressful situations and non-standard tasks.
The competition involves people occupying leadership positions throughout the Siberian Federal District - university rectors, plant directors, heads of public sector institutions. This helps expand the circle of acquaintances and communications. It was very interesting for me to communicate with colleagues from different fields, to learn about the problems they face, their tasks and achievements. I wanted to find points of interaction between the educational sphere and their areas of competence.
During the competition, we met representatives of the education sector from other cities of the Siberian Federal District and exchanged contacts. I was pleased to share my experience with my colleagues and invited everyone to take part in the events that take place on the basis of the Scientific Research Center of NSU.
Winning the district final gave me confidence in my abilities. This is very important for me, because I have not been working in the management field for very long.
Sergey Ospichev:
鈥� This is my first time participating in such a competition, I learned about it from my colleagues and immediately decided that I would definitely apply! Since I work at the Mathematics Center in Akademgorodok, my goal is to promote applied mathematics. We carry out research commissioned by institutions and organizations in various mathematical areas. So the main goal of my participation in the regional competition 鈥淟eaders of Russia鈥� was to meet with managers of enterprises and organizations involved in various fields of activity and tell them about our Mathematical Center. Perhaps find new partnership prospects. This goal was achieved - I exchanged contacts with many participants from different regions of the Siberian Federal District, and now I hope to promote our Mathematical Center to the All-Russian level. I think this will work out quite well after my participation in the super final.
Alexey Zakharov:
鈥� By participating in this competition, I wanted to prove to myself that I am an accomplished specialist and leader, and that I can really do a lot. I also wanted to look at those people who work in the same field as myself, get to know them, and establish contacts. I achieved this result in full, one hundred percent. I made sure that I acted correctly and made the right decisions. The most difficult and exciting thing was receiving the award for winning the competition. As for the rest... You just had to be yourself, the organizers told us about this many times.
Winning this competition was a big surprise for me. It seemed to me that the competition brought together many participants who were more worthy, competent and involved in management activities than me. At the same time, I simply did not have time to evaluate my own actions and qualities, stop, think and reflect. I saw only the external picture of events. But the competent jury made its choice. Now I'm going to go to the super final. I would like to look at the most professional managers in Russia, to find out how they act and think. I am sure that many interesting activities and important acquaintances await me in Moscow.
Information: The 鈥淟eaders of Russia鈥� management competition has been held since 2017 on behalf of the President of the Russian Federation. It is the flagship project of the presidential platform 鈥淩ussia - the Land of Opportunities.鈥� The fifth season of the project started in April 2023. Over the entire period, more than one million applications from 150 countries have been submitted to participate in the competition.
Based on the results of all district finals, 300 super finalists for the fifth season will be determined. The names of the winners of the anniversary management competition 鈥淟eaders of Russia鈥� will become known in 2024.
