From October 17 to 19, the Mathematical Center in Academic Town was visited by a delegation from the Defense Science and Technology University (Changsha, China). The delegation included researchers specializing in various fields of mathematics, as well as representatives of the leadership of the Faculty of Sciences of the Defense Science and Technology University.
During the visit, a number of working meetings were held, during which opportunities for cooperation between the Mathematical Center in Academic Town and the Changsha International Institute for Mathematical Research in the field of scientific research and educational projects were discussed. In particular, a meeting was held between the delegation and the
heads of research groups at the Mathematical Center in Akademgorodok, during which a very productive discussion took place on the possibilities of joint scientific research.
鈥淲e discussed almost all the main areas of work of our mathematical centers, as well as possible approaches to building partnerships between centers in these areas. We talked about the possibility of organizing joint research work, and also planned to jointly conduct some scientific and educational events. In particular, we agreed to jointly hold a Big Mathematical Workshop with Chinese colleagues - the largest scientific and educational event of the Mathematical Center in Akademgorodok. This event has already gained great popularity in Russia, and next year we hope to make it international,鈥� said
