From November 2 to November 6, 2023, the Russian-Chinese conference 鈥淒ifferential and Difference Equations鈥� was held in Novosibirsk. The organizers of the conference were 吃瓜官网 and the Institute of Mathematics named after. S.L. Sobolev SB RAS. The conference was held with the support of the Mathematical Center in Akademgorodok. The co-chairs of the Program Committee were Professor G.V. Demidenko from the Russian side (Novosibirsk, Russia) and Professor G. Hu from the Chinese side (Shanghai University, Shanghai, China).
The scientific program of the conference covered the following areas: partial differential equations, ordinary differential equations, delay equations, difference equations, equations of mathematical physics, mathematical modeling, approximation theory, and computational mathematics. The target audience of the event is leading experts in the field of mathematics, young scientists and senior students.
94 scientists took part in the conference, including 38 young ones. Among the participants there were 61 from Russia, 26 from China, 7 from the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Tajikistan. Russian participants represented cities such as Yekaterinburg, Irkutsk, Krasnoyarsk, Moscow, Novosibirsk, Perm, Ulan-Ude, Khanty-Mansiysk, Chelyabinsk, Yakutsk. The meetings were held primarily in person. The conference included 13 plenary presentations, 34 presentations in the section 鈥淧artial Differential Equations鈥�, 34 presentations in the section 鈥淔unctional Differential Equations鈥�.
The conference contributed to the development of international scientific cooperation and the establishment of new scientific contacts. Young scientists, graduate students and students had the opportunity to listen to reports from leading experts, as well as present their results.
The initiator and responsible for the conference was the group 鈥淒ifferential equations and dynamical systems鈥� of the Mathematical Center in Akademgorodok.
