December 10-16, 2018, the "Sobolev Readings" International School-Conference will be held in Novosibirsk. Meetings will take place at the House of Scientists, the S.L. Sobolev Institute of Mathematics SB RAS, and NSU. The Conference opening takes place December 10 at 09.30 in the Small Hall at the House of Scientists.
The School-Conference is organized by the S. L. Sobolev Institute of Mathematics SB RAS and NSU. It is a continuation of a series of conferences dedicated to the outstanding twentieth century scientist Sergey Sobolev. Sobolev鈥檚 results had an enormous influence on developments in mathematics. This year the School-Conference is devoted to the 110th anniversary of S.L. Sobolev鈥檚 birth.

The School-Conference will discuss current problems in mathematics that are attracting the attention of specialists and are subjects of research in Russia and abroad. Among the sections in the School-Conference are the following: partial differential equations, differential equations in mathematical physics, differential-difference equations, analysis, and related questions. The School-Conference program will include lectures, a plenary session, and section reports. Following tradition, the lectures will include a series devoted to the work of S. L. Sobolev and given by young scientists. Participants will have an opportunity to meet new people, present their own results, and find new opportunities for cooperation.

Students, undergraduates, graduate students, Russian and foreign scientists, including NSU and SB RAS employees, are invited to participate. Additional information can be found at this
