From June 29 to July 2, the 鈥淏iomedical Technologies鈥� symposium will be held at the Technopark of the Novosibirsk Academgorodok. The symposium is a significant scientific event addressing the development of biotechnological approaches in gene therapy, genetic structures and technologies, etc.

鈥� Institute of Chemical Biology and Fundamental Medicine SB RAS (ICBFM SB RAS),
鈥� Technopark of the Novosibirsk Academgorodok (Academpark).

During the symposium, it is planned to discuss fundamental scientific and practical issues related to the development of approaches to the design of intelligent materials - biological molecules, molecular devices, modified microorganisms and cells, as well as their use in current and promising biomedical applications. Potential use of these approaches in the field of personalized and regenerative medicine and treatment of socially significant diseases will be also discussed.

The symposium will include following sections:
鈥� Oncolytic viruses;
鈥� Cell-based and vesicles-based therapeutic preparations;
鈥� Medical genetic technologies;
鈥� Synthetic biology for biomedicine.

The symposium will be attended by leading scientists, graduate students and students of the research institutes of RAS and other institutes from different regions of the Russian Federation and other countries. The arrival of lecturers from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Tomsk, Ufa and others is planned.
