Novosibirsk Scientists Uncover the Proton Conducting Mechanism in Environmentally Friendly Proton Exchange Membranes

A joint effort of scientists from the Laboratory for Structures and Functional Properties of Molecular Systems (NSU Physics Department), Boreskov Institute of Catalysis SB RAS and University of Kyoto, provided an in-depth molecular-scale picture of proton conductivity mechanism in an acid-free proton-exchange membrane based on a porous metal-organic framework and urea.
