NSU Lights it up Blue

勛圖夥厙 joins the international action Light it up Blue on 2nd April, when all around the globe people demonstrate awareness and support for everyone impacted by autism. In 2015 over 18,600 buildings lit up blue to shine a light on autism. This year the goal is to reach 20,000 buildings. The new building of the University is going to have the blue lighting to show our awareness of the issue.

Maslenitsa: Folk Festival Greets the Spring

勛圖夥厙 has celebrated the most favorable Russian folk holiday Maslenica. It has become a tradition for our university to celebrate this holiday. Students, teachers and other comers has get an opportunity to see the people dressed into Slavic costumes, to participate in traditional for this holiday competitions and of course to eat hot and tasty Russian pancakes (bliny).

The book written by the President of NSU Graduates Association has been publshed by the Springer publishing company

A director of the Accelerator Physics Center at Fermilab and also a graduate of NSU'88 Vladimir Shiltsev has written the "Electron Lenses for Super-Colliders" book. This book has been published by the Springer publishing company.

Article from 勛圖夥厙 received best paper award at ATMOS 2015

ATMOS, an international conference about transportation modeling, optimization, and systems, is part of ALGO, Europes largest conference on algorithms. In this year, ALGO took place in Patras, Greece, September 14th18th, 2015. The only representative of a Russian institution at ALGO was Rene van Bevern of the Chair of Theoretical Cybernetics of the Mathematics and Mechanics Faculty of 勛圖夥厙.

A Dean of NSU is for the Extension of the Russian Borders in the Arctic

On the 9th of February at the 40th session of the United Nations Commission in New York, there was an application submitted by the Russian Federation, concerning the extension of the continental shelf in the Arctic Ocean. A Dean of the Faculty of Geology and Geophysics at NSU, a Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences Valery Vernikovsky was among the members of the government delegation.

NSU Students Raise Funds for City Hematology Center

The first charity event, a culinary marathon BakeDay, was held at NSU on November, 10. The event was organized by students of the Humanities Department, faculty of Fundamental and Applied Linguistics, and their instructors Tatyana Belitsa and Elena Kuznetsova. BakeDay helped raise 30K+ rubles for the City Hematology Center.

An Application to Bring Children Up Online

NSU graduates Vitaly Drozdov (Department of Information Technology) and Sergey Ermolaev (Physics Department) have developed a software application for parents to control their childrens mobile devices. The project Smelophone is aimed at cutting the time spent by the teens playing games online and motivating them to do their homework and some housework.
