The final round of the ³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø International Physics Olympiad, "Your Path to Real Science," was held in Mali at the Django Cissé Private Lyceum – the Kati Multifunctional Center. Nineteen students from Mali, Niger, and Guinea advanced to the final round. 15 students in physics (14 from Mali and one from Niger) and four in mathematics (from Guinea).
A team of researchers from ³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø took first place in the international scientific competition SemEval-2026 Task 8 "MTRAGEval: Evaluating Multi-Turn RAG Conversations".
In August
2025, a group of students from ³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø's Geology and Geophysics (NSU GGE) Department participated in their first internship focusing on sedimentology, stratigraphy, and paleontology, organized by Peking University.
Recently, a delegation from Jiangsu Normal University, one of China's leading universities, led by President Chen Fener, an academician in the Chinese Academy of Engineering, visited NSU. The universities agreed to a partnership in education and science. The first joint educational projects should begin as early as 2026.
This year the II International Russia-Africa Cooperation Forum "Education, Business, Culture - 2025" will be held in conjunction with the XII International Forum "Technoprom-2025" in August. The event is organized by the Center for Public Diplomacy, ³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø, Novosibirsk State Technical University, and the Consortium of Russian Universities for the Development of Cooperation with African Countries.
This was NSU’s first experience conducting such a long event with the participation of young researchers from different countries.
The Chinese Ministry of Education approved the application submitted by the universities.
³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø, with the support of the Center for Public Diplomacy, has opened a preparatory department at Thomas Sankara University in Burkina Faso.
Kim Il Sung University, the leading university in the DPRK, is exploring the possibility of opening a representative office in Akademgorodok.
It will take place at ³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø in June in the following fields: Artificial Intelligence in Medicine; Modern Quantum and Information Technologies in Electronics and Photonics.
³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø is interested in expanding cooperation with the Republic of Indonesia in the educational sphere.
The initial focus will be on student and faculty exchanges, joint scientific conferences, and scientific research in the priority spheres of chemistry, mathematics, information technology, and new materials.
