The final round of the ³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø International Physics Olympiad, "Your Path to Real Science," was held in Mali at the Django Cissé Private Lyceum – the Kati Multifunctional Center. Nineteen students from Mali, Niger, and Guinea advanced to the final round. 15 students in physics (14 from Mali and one from Niger) and four in mathematics (from Guinea).
³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø announced the results for the qualifying round of the international "Your Path to Real Science" Physics Olympiad.
In December, NSU held the qualifying round for the first foreign "Your Path to Real Science" Physics Olympiad. 100 schoolchildren in Africa and China participated.
The Olympiad was attended by 790 students from 16 countries including India, Spain, Russia, Uzbekistan, and Algeria.
The Olympiad winners and prize-winners will receive preferential treatment when applying to NSU and they will either receive a scholarship from the Russian budget or significant tuition discounts.
Four students from the NSU Natural Sciences Department won gold and silver medals at the 4th International Chemistry Olympiad, which took place October 15 to 17 in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, at Magtymguly Turkmen State University. Alexander Tomilov and Nazim Mustafin won gold medals while Nikita Chernovsky and Alexander Sapov won silver.
This is the best result in the last 10 years of the University's participation in the IMC.
Alam Md Mustaqim Bin, a second-year student at the NSU Physics Department from Bangladesh, finished among the top 8% of participants and won a silver award.
³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø was represented by 4 teams. The teams of students from NSU’s Natural Sciences Department took prizes in all sections.
Participants included 80 students from 23 universities in 12 foreign countries including China, Iran, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Armenia, and Azerbaijan.
180 high school graduates from cities in the Henan Province (Zhengzhou, Kaifeng, Yuncheng, Nanzhao and Luohe) came to test their knowledge.
The largest event in the field of information security, the NSU Cryptographic Center was an active participant.
