On July 5–19, university students, school graduates and high-school students took part in the school-conference "Cryptography and Information Security — 2021". The participants listened to lectures and worked on projects related to solving research problems in the field of cryptography and information security. Sports activities were also held.
On June 12, the Great Mathematical Workshop (GMW) started. GMW is a complex of two weeks of intensive work on various projects, organized by the Mathematical Center in Akademgorodok in Novosibirsk. This year the event is also organized by the Higher School of Economics, the Regional Scientific and Educational Mathematical Center of Tomsk State University and the Euler International Mathematical Institute.
On July 12–16 the first week of the Great Mathematical Workshop, dedicated to The Year of Science and Technology in Russia, took place. Four venues — Euler International Mathematical Institute, International Scientific and Methodological Center of HSE, the Tomsk State University and the Mathematical Center in Akademgorodok have launched 29 projects with more than 170 participants.
Vera Vladimirovna — researcher of the Perm National Research Polytechnic University, candidate of physics and mathematics, associate professor. In the lectures she told about the integral representation of solutions to linear systems of ordinary differential equations, about the fundamental matrix, the Cauchy matrix and their properties.
The thesis was carried out under the scientific supervision of doctor of physics and mathematics, professor Gennady V. Demidenko, specialty 01.01.02 — Differential equations, dynamical systems and optimal control.
On June 21–25 in Milan was held the SIAM Conference on Mathematical & Computational Issues in the Geosciences (GS21) in a mixed format, in which MCA researchers Evgeny I. Romensky, Vadim V. Lisitsa and Galina V. Reshetova took part.
MCA scientists have proposed an algorithm for the optimal solution of the fundamental intractable problem of building an energy efficient wireless communication network. In an article published in the Q1-magazine INFORMS Journal on Computing, they showed scenarios in which their algorithm is faster than previously known algorithms by several orders of magnitude.
The symposium was held in Moscow on June 1–4. It is held annually and is organized by the Academy of Cryptography of the Russian Federation, the Mathematical Institute. VA Steklov and the Technical Committee for Standardization "Cryptographic information security".
