³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø Students Awarded 16 Diplomas at International Mathematical Olympiad

³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø students successfully took part in the International Mathematics Contest "Mirror of the Lowell Putnam International Olympiad".  NSU won 5 second degree diplomas (second prizes) and 11 third degree diplomas (third Prizes). Dmitry Morozov, a fourth-year student in the Physics Department, produced the best result for NSU.

Representatives of NSU Participate in University of Tsukuba Russian-Japanese Educational Forum

Elena Simonova, a Japanese language teacher and Valery Sokolov, a fourth-year student at the Humanities Institute Department of Oriental Studies of the State University, represented the University at the Russian-Japanese Educational Forum held recently at the University of Tsukuba.

Total Dictation Cultural Action Conference at NSU

More than 300 organizers and experts of the Total Dictation international cultural action came to Novosibirsk to participate in the VI International Scientific and Practical Conference "Dynamic Processes in Modern Russian".  Over three days, experts discussed current issues related to Russian spelling and punctuation.

Denis Ponomarev, a student in NSU’s Geology and Geophysics Department received the Russian Academy of Science prize for young researchers.  He was in a group of scientists that is exploring a rare meteorite that was found in the Novosibirsk region 26 years ago

NSU SESC Pupils Win Medals in Physics and Mathematics at International Olympiad

The 14th International Zhautykov Olympiad for school children in mathematics, physics and computer science was recently conducted in Almaty Kazakhstan.  Students at the NSU Special Educational Scientific Center returned from the Olympiad with three medals.

NSU Enters Top 100 of QS Natural Sciences Subject Rating

The international rating agency Quacquarelli Symonds (QS World University Rankings by Subject 2018) published their 2018 subject ratings for leading universities in the world.  ³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø was included on the ratings list among the best in 10 subjects and significantly strengthened its positions in the natural, engineering and technical sciences

Routledge, the world's largest publishing house specializing in the humanities and social sciences, is part of the Taylor & Francis international publishing group, recently published “Russia's Regional Identities: The Power of the Provinces". The book describes the unique features of different Russian regions. NSU Sociologists Olga Echevskaya and Alla Anisimova authored the chapter on Siberia and its inhabitants

Total Dictation – 2018 Capital is Vladivostok

The Total Dictation conference that took place at the ³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø and Academpark hosted the finals for the Total Dictation-2018 capitol. Five cities made it to the finals to compete for the right to become the main platform of the global action. They were Vladivostok, Krasnoyarsk, Irkutsk, Tallinn and Tyumen. The results of the competition were announced by the chairman of the jury, NSU Rector Mikhail Fedoruk.
