Second Class of SRI Graduates at NSU

A class of 77 Chinese students were certified upon successful completion of the course on the features of Russian culture at NSU. They took the course for a year as part of the program of the joint educational institution launched by NSU and Heilongjiang University, the Sino-Russian Institute. Their instructors and the NSU administration addressed the students with parting words wishing them success in completing the program at home, in Harbin.

NSU and University of Cadiz (Spain) in ERASMUS+

NSU’s partner, the University of Cadiz (in Spanish: Universidad de Cádiz), commonly referred to as UCA, is a public university located in the province of Cádiz, Andalusia. It has offered NSU to take part in the mobility program ERASMUS+, which offers opportunities for individuals to study, work or teach in other parts of the world.

X-Rays for Criminalistics and Archaeology

Specialists of the Law Department at NSU and BINP SB RAS plan to set up a joint laboratory for forensic research using scientific methods. Damaged records will be studied in X-rays with the following analysis of the fluorescent radiation. The method developed could be used in criminalistics, archaeology and history.

Among 1484 universities from the Russian Federation ranked in Webometrics in 2015, NSU takes the third position following only Lomonosov Moscow State University and Saint Petersburg State University.

LHCb Collaboration Steps Forth Studying Beauty Quark

According to CERN press office, the LHCb collaboration, which includes researchers from NSU, has published a paper in Nature Physics on the first |Vub| measurement, which describes the transition of a b quark to a u quark, to use a baryonic decay.
