NSU Mechanics and Mathematics Department Freshmen, Mikhail Tyutulnikov and Konstantin Nosorev, have developed an application that will automate the registration of student classroom attendance. Using a mobile device with an NFC module, the application is connected to student ID cards. The teacher installs the application that will respond to the touch of the student ID and send a list of those present to the teachers personal account on a website.
Artem Grigorovich, a graduate of NSUs Department of Information Technologies, developed a performance evaluation module that supports the launch of test algorithms used in blockchain technology on several quantum platforms simultaneously. This will help developers track the progress of existing quantum platforms and use the most productive to solve blockchain mining problems.

The 54th International Mendeleev Chemistry Olympiad for high school students took place in mid-July. Hosted by the Lomonosov Moscow State University Chemistry Department, it was the first to be held remotely with 130 students from 27 CIS countries, the Baltic States and South-Eastern Europe, participating. Stepan Epifantsev, a 10th grade student at SESC NSU, was a gold medalist.
Scientists at the NSU Natural Sciences Department Theoretical and Applied Functional Genomics Laboratory and Institute of Cytology and Genetics Laboratory of Recombination and Segregation Analysis, together with foreign colleagues, proposed a non-standard approach to the study of the genetic foundations of chronic pain.
