Russia’s Only Accelerator Mass Spectrometer Internationally Certified

The Center for Collective Use AMS NSU-NSC (CCUAMS) was among the 55 international laboratories that successfully passed The Glasgow International Radiocarbon Inter-Comparison (GIRI). This consisted of "blind" dating 17 samples of various origins. The absorption-catalytic installation for graphitization of samples that was developed by Russian scientists received international recognition when it was applied for the first time to radiocarbon dating.
