Interfax and Ekho Moskvy radio station have carried out their fifth annual national rating of classic and research universities for the 2013/2014 school year. NSU has improved the position up to the 5-6 place (shared) in comparison to the previous year.
The universities were ranked on six main parameters: educational program; science and research; socialization - reflecting the university‘s social activity; internationalization or international activity; university brand and innovation and entrepreneurship - achievements in innovation and commercialisation.
NSU shares the position with the People‘s Friendship University of Russia (Moscow) overtaking Bauman Moscow State Technical University, St. Petersburg State Polytechnic University, Tomsk universities as well as National Research University Higher School of Economics, giving place only to Moscow universities.
The top stayed the same: Lomonosov Moscow State University holds the top spot again and St. Petersburg State University remains the number two; MEPhI National Research Nuclear University holds number three and National Research University Moscow National Institute of Physics and Technology (State University) number four. Totally, the rating ranged 160 Russian universities.
