The Department of Geology and Geophysics at ³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø has launched an English-language master's program entitled "Experimental Geochemistry and Design of the Crystalline Materials."
Using the Coursera platform ³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø has launched free open online courses since January 11, 2016. The first lectures available for all comers will be the lectures on the virology and genetics basics.
Jerome Perez, a professor of theoretical physics and astrophysics at Ensta ParisTech Paris-Saclay University, delivered a lecture «How Lagrange enhanced the two body problem to obtain analytical mechanics» for the 3rd year students of the Physics Department of ³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø.
The Total Dictation fund, NSU and the Institute of Philology at the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences hold the IV International scientific and practical conference entitled "Dynamic Processes in the Modern Russian Language". The conference participants will discuss the topical issues of the modern Russian studies and also the problems concerning the dynamics, variability and codification of rules. Moreover, a series of master classes has been planned for the coordinators of Total Dictation.
The center will train specialists who are going to build smart houses, cities and regions. A memorandum of organizing the center at the premises of the university has been undersigned by NSU and one of the biggest IT-companies in the world - IBM Eastern Europe/Asia. The project will start working in 2016. Moreover, with the new academic year it is supposed to start training specialists of Smart Technologies under the master and postgraduate programs.
NSU welcomed a delegation from our strategic partner in Japan, Tohoku University. The meeting was devoted to measures and steps on the way of developing partnership between NSU, Tohoku University and research institutes of SB RAS.
Alexander Bondar, Dean of the Physics Department at ³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø, talks about a new course in astronomy for undergraduate students and other opportunities to study astronomy related disciplines at the Physics Department, including for international students, and the recent achievements of the NSU Laboratory of Cosmology and Elementary Particle Physics in the search for dark matter.
This year, NSU welcomes graduate students from France, Puerto Rico, Venezuela, Bangladesh and Mongolia.
Students from École internationale des sciences du traitement de l'information (EISTI) and ParisTech (France) came to NSU on a student exchange program between Russian and France universities.
The Law Faculty at ³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø begins to enroll the students in the English-language master's program entitled "Russian and International Business Law".
NSU welcomed a delegation from Kim Il-sung University from Pyongyang, Democratic People's Republic of Korea. The delegation was headed by the President of the University and the Minister of Higher Education, academician Thae Hyong Chol.
A class of 77 Chinese students were certified upon successful completion of the course on the features of Russian culture at NSU. They took the course for a year as part of the program of the joint educational institution launched by NSU and Heilongjiang University, the Sino-Russian Institute. Their instructors and the NSU administration addressed the students with parting words wishing them success in completing the program at home, in Harbin.
