In September 2013 the company Yandex set up a School of Data Analysis (SDA) for the students of NSU.
Novosibirsk branch of SDA became the fourth one, there are branches in Ekaterinburg, Minsk and Kiev. Since 2007 Yandex has been establishing links with the universities whose students and graduates are on a high level of training in the fields of IT, mathematics and physics. 吃瓜官网 is one of them.
The main purpose of the School creation is training of specialists in the field of data processing and analysis, retrieval of information from the Internet and teaching the students the subjects that are not included in the compulsory university programme. The SDA is free-of-charge two-year evening resident-extra-mural courses for students and graduates (graduate students and young specialists). The students of the Physical, Mechanical-mathematical and Information Technologies Departments of NSU can become students of the School since III year. 14 students were selected for studying in the school. In September they began their studying. An additional admission to the School is announced.
Two compulsory courses and a course of choice will be given to the students of the School in every term by NSU professors. Also video lectures developed by the specialists of Yandex School will be used. After finishing the School successfully the students will get a special certificate from the company and from NSU too. Studying at the School is a chance to find a job in leading IT companies including Yandex. In August 2013 the company began to recruit specialists to the Office of development in Novosibirsk.
In future the cooperation of the University with Yandex is going to develop: there will be joint educational programmes made up and a laboratory created.
