The British company QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) published the ranking of the best world universities.
In 2013 18 Russian universities entered the ranking of 800 best world universities from 76 countries. NSU takes the fourth place among the Russian universities in the ranking yielding only to Moscow State University (120th place), Saint Petersburg State University (240th place) and Moscow State Technical University after N.E.Bauman (334th place). NSU rose 19 lines and is on 352th line (371th line last year). That is, NSU has made the biggest dash in QS ranking this year.
“Certainly, we are happy that NSU has improved its position in QS ranking again. For two years the University has been rising in the ranking, last year – 29 lines, this year – 19 lines. It proves that we work in the right way and rising the lines in QS ranking is the result of our work. It it pleasant that rising the lines in the ranking strengthens NSU’s reputation in the world academic environment and among employers”, said the rector of NSU Mikhail Fedoruk.
The rating was made on the basis of six evaluation criteria: reputation in the academic environment, quoting of the university staff publications, the correlation of the number of professors and students, the relationship of employers and graduates and also the correlation of the number of foreign professors and students.
