The WQC Award is designed by a well known and respected organization Business Initiative Directions (BID), which organizes the award ceremony in Paris, during its annual International Quality Convention. Technoscan () was founded in 1993 as a startup of the Laser Physics and Innovative Technologies Department at NSU Research Department (before 2011 - the Laser Systems Laboratory at RD NSU).
