The Non-Stop University CRYPTO Olympiad is the only international competition in cryptography. It brings together schoolchildren and students, as well as professionals from all over the world. The Mathematical Center in Akademgorodok is one of the organizers of the Olympiad.
On October 3, Inessa I. Matveeva successfully defended her doctoral dissertation in the Sobolev Institute of Mathematics SB RAS. The MCA congratulates her on this significant event!
The project, supported by the Mathematical Center in Akademgorodok, once again brought together schoolchildren, their parents, and students. Moreover, the festival successfully participated in several social contests in Novosibirsk region.
On August 22–31, a summer scientific school on probability theory was held. Students and young researchers from different cities of Russia attended the course "New statistical methods for analyzing texts in natural language" from the MCA employee A. P. Kovalevsky and applied the studied methods to the analysis of texts of Russian classics: Dostoevsky, Tolstoy, Pushkin and Krylov.
The delegation of the MCA and NSU presented 8 section reports on the properties of cryptographic discrete functions and new methods for analyzing cryptographic algorithms. Alexander Bakharev became the winner of the youth reports competition.
Timur Nasybullov, Deputy Director of MCA, presented the main areas of work and development of the Center at the round table and shared the experience of Great Mathematical Workshop's creation and development.
From July 24 to August 13, the MCA, together with Tyumen State University and Tomsk State University, held a project intensive event aimed at solving real problems in science and industry — the Great Mathematical Workshop 2022. Almost 150 schoolchildren, students and teachers took part in its two modules.
The International School-Seminar "Nonlinear Analysis and Extremal Problems" is a traditional scientific event held every two years. This year the school-seminar was held with the support of the MCA. As part of the school-conference, well-known specialists and young researchers gave talks on their research.
